The traditional symbol of Akhen, depicted as the sun with hands attached to its rays.

Akhen is a solar deity worshiped by the followers of Akhenism and Vormundism. The name Akhen is Exekian in origin, meaning "He Who Is As the Sun". Other names for the god include "the living god", "the one god", "the All-Father", "Apollo", and "Lord of Heaven".

Both Akhenists and Vormunds believe that Akhen is the sole god in existence. He is said to have created the universe for his pleasure and sentient life out of loneliness. His first sentient creation was the spirit Zius, which had no corporeal form and lacked divine power. Zius soon grew suspicious and jealous of Akhen and fled to the mortal plane, where he has waged a holy war against his creator ever since.
