Nechtan is the lieutenant of Zimreon, ruler of the Clan.
Description
Nechtan is a foil to Kemet. Moody, brooding, and saturnine in temperament, he hates being subservient to Zimreon, but feels honor-bound to serve him. He is often the subject of mockery for his youth (he is only an era old, having been born shortly before the Revolution), insecurities and inferiority complex. Despite this, Nechtan is a mischievous, unpredictable sadist and considered highly dangerous even to members of his own kind. He has a special hatred for humans and believes their species should be completely wiped out.
Nechtan is willowy and elfin in appearance. He is described as looking like a youth in his late teens, with prominent ears and dark eyes with only a hint of gray in them. His gaze is predatory and he constantly has a cruel smirk on his face. It is noted that he bears a strong resemblance to John, and he goes so far as to suggest that he may be John's biological father.
Biography
Nechtan was among the last Exekian children to be born before the First Exekian War. He managed to escape to the Shadowlands after the overthrow of the Old Exekian Empire.
After the war Nechtan became the leader of a small band of Exekian warriors. During the reign of King Tristan, Nechtan and his forces took advantage of the situation which arose after the execution of Vor, in which hundreds of human soldiers deserted their posts in protest. Tristan defeated his forces, and Nechtan saw no other choice but to join Zimreon, forming the Clan.
